If India had to vote for some of its favorite cars, the Toyota Innova would certainly make the list. It is the country's favorite SUV and rightfully so. Engine & Performance

Toyota Innova is available in both petrol and diesel variants, but there are more diesel variants of the car than the petrol ones. The petrol variant is a 1TR FE, 2.0 L, 4 cylinder petrol engine that has Electronic Fuel Injection technology. The diesel variant of the car is a 2.5 L, 2KD FTV diesel engine with intercoolers and turbochargers. The diesel variant has a displacement of 2494 cc, whereas the petrol variant comes with a displacement of 1998 cc. The petrol variant is capable of providing around 8.3 kmpl of mileage in the city and around 12 kmpl on the highways. The diesel variant is capable of providing around 10 kmpl within city limits and around 13 kmpl on the highway. The diesel variant can produce a maximum power of 102 PS at 3600 rpm and deliver a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1400-3400 rpm. The petrol variant can provide 132 PS of maximum power at 5600rpm with 181 Nm of maximum torque at 4000rpm.

Exteriors

The Exteriors of the car have been upgraded as of 2012 and the new Innova looks more stylish for sure. Many changes have been done on the exteriors. The headlamps of the car are more angular, the signal lamps are slightly protruding, the fog lamps are oval, the stylish grille has been improved on, the bonnet has been changed and the windshield size has been slightly increased. The front grille of the car comes with three chrome plated slats now. The side profile of the car has a rather curvy design. The tail lights have also been improved upon. The wheel flare and the tinted windows of the car make it look more stylish and give it a flourish. The Toyota has amazing ground clearance, which suits its role as a multi utility vehicle.

Interiors

The interiors of the car are extremely stunning. They have been elegantly designed to make sure that even long distance travel in the car is comfortable and easy. The diesel version of i40 is powered by U II 1.7 diesel engine which is available in Low (115PS) and High (136PS) output versions with the Low U II achieving an impressive CO2 rating of just 113g/km. Petrol i40 is powered  by the Gamma 1.6 GDI petrol engine or the Nu 2.0 GDI petrol engine.

Hyundai i40 was launched in the European market and Korean market in 2011. Though there is no confirmation from the company, Hyundai i40 is expected to be launched in India in the early or mid 2014.

Hyundai i30 Launch in India

The company has not revealed its plans for launching the i30 in India yet. However, we may expect the launch of this car in India because the company is doing sales in the country and it has not introduced a new segment in India since the launch of EON model in 2011 October.
