The Hyundai i40 marks the car manufacturer's  re-entry into the upper middle or D segment. The i40 sedan was unveiled at the Barcelona Motor Show in 2011. Two models of the car - i40 Tourer and i40 Sedan, are currently available in the European and South Korean market.

Estate model named i40 Tourer and Saloon model of i40 are available. Petrol and Diesel variants of the Hyundai i40 are currently available in Europe and South Korea.

The diesel version of i40 is powered by U II 1.7 diesel engine which is available in Low (115PS) and High (136PS) output versions with the Low U II achieving an impressive CO2 rating of just 113g/km. Petrol i40 is powered  by the Gamma 1.6 GDI petrol engine or the Nu 2.0 GDI petrol engine.

Hyundai i40 price in india is expected to be upwards of 15 lakhs. The diesel variant of Hyundai i40 may be price well above 17 lakhs. 

Hyundai i40 Launch in India

Hyundai i40 was launched in the European market and Korean market in 2011. Though there is no confirmation from the company, Hyundai i40 is expected to be launched in India in the early or mid 2014.
